What are the “must haves” in improving, creating, and sustaining amazing health? Listen to this episode to hear Ian Clark describe getting more and more healthy as we age (rather than letting our health decline as we age).
In 2004 Ian Clark was bankrupt and given 1000 days to live. Five years later, he was still alive and had built a raw supplement business direct to consumer in his basement, which reached hundreds of thousands of people in just two years.
Ian is the owner and Chief Executive Officer of Activation Products (Can) Inc. and has built a solid reputation for valuable research in the natural health space developing the most effective protocols and products that support natural healing.
At the age of 65, Ian’s health and energy levels are better than when he was 25. At the age of 46, two significant life-threatening health issues hit him in the same year! It was during 2004-2007 that as a husband and father of seven children, Ian sought out the most effective health products for natural healing to avoid medical operations and drugs. In 2007, Activation Products was founded with his wife and seven children. Over the last 16 years Ian has enjoyed a wonderful health transformation for himself, his family, and literally hundreds of thousands of Activation clients internationally. Ian now wants more people to know how to heal their own bodies.

Have you ever not liked a diagnosis or prognosis from a medical professional? Ian Clark did not accept what he was told about his tumor in 2004. He decided to think about this and other health challenges with a different perspective. Listen to episode for a fresh perspective!

Nancy Becher is a chronic illness warrior and disability advocate. She has a Masters in Counseling, a PhD in sociology, and in 2022 studied with the Ministry with Disabilities for a year towards certification.
It all started in 2014 – which started out as a great year for her until she was picking up her parents from a senior center potluck and one of the other attendees slammed into her with his car, knocking her out of her car and into a drainage ditch where she twisted her body back and forth.
Immediate surgery fixed (for a time) the physical injuries but also caused her to get Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, devastating nerve damage often called the suicide disorder. After 16 surgeries, two spinal stimulators, and innumerable doctors to figure out what was wrong to try and stop the pain, she has put her knowledge and experience to work and has created “Invisible Warriors”, a 501c3 non-profit to help others who are going through similar mental and physical anguishing journeys.
Through her experience, it’s become her passion to support others while making it her mission to dialogue with medical professionals and lobby for changes in the insurance, pharmaceutical, and travel industries so that women with hidden chronic and autoimmune disorders begin to feel that they are not alone; they are valued, and worthy participants in society.

Matt Harline has been an artist all his life, but after high school he took a 41 year detour in life as an electrical / computer hardware engineer. In 2016 his life was literally turned upside down while riding a bicycle resulting in a traumatic brain injury. This ended his career as an engineer, and launched him back to the path he had always dreamed of, creating works of art. In 2018 he lost his art studio to a wildfire in Northern California’s Butte County.
These moments, and others, have contributed to Matt’s desire to inspire others approach life with optimism, to embrace the things that they can do, stretch their limits. After another concussion in 2022, a benign brain tumor was found and surgically removed, followed by six and a half weeks of radiation treatment. During those treatments, Matt kept a journal of paintings to record his experience, which then became a book, “Radiation Road”.
Matt now spends his time drawing and painting, teaching a monthly watercolor journaling class, and regularly leading children on tours of the Crocker art museum in Sacramento, California. He is also on the board of directors for the Head Trauma Support Project of Sacramento, an organization that provides support group services for people with brain injuries.

As a former competitive golfer, Dr. Bryana Gregory was trained to work overtime. But in her early 20s she became very sick, and she spent days on end in bed in the fetal position because no doctor could find out what was wrong. Bryana used to be tired, overwhelmed, had too many responsibilities on her plate, and not enough time or energy to show up fully for any of them. She saw 10+ doctors for her symptoms. After lots of time, money, and pain, she wasn't getting any better. Conventional approaches were not helping, so she decided she needed something different. Bryana found a functional medicine practitioner used a comprehensive approach, taking the entire body into consideration. She soon started feeling better and never looked back. Bryana likes to remind people that our bodies function best when we’re in balance.
Bryana Gregory is a compounding pharmacist and genomics consultant specializing in genomics-guided wellness. She is certified in pharmacogenomics and trained in nutrigenomics testing and evaluation, helping you understand why your body responds the way it does to foods, vitamins, minerals, supplements, and medications, based on your DNA, so that you can make more informed decisions about your wellness. Bryana's specialties include bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, balancing the immune system, gut restoration, and providing approaches to wellness that are lasting, rather than following the conventional approach of a ""pill for every ill"". Bryana is on a mission to restore personalized medicine and to open up the conversation around genomics-guided wellness, while simplifying and personalizing your wellness journey.

Our Season 2 Finale Episode!
Michal had a long and painful journey with chronic illnesses. Doctors described her as a “mystery” and were unable to identify what was going on with her for years. Like so many, she had to fight for proper testing and even then she still felt that something was missing.
Eventually, she found out that she had autoimmune and genetic disorders and began her journey of “managing” her symptoms through diet, lifestyle, and other holistic methods. In order to feel even remotely normal, she could eat very few foods, take many supplements every day, and avoid all of her triggers.
What did this look like for her? It meant living with a water purifier, air purifier, all non-toxic products, and holding her breath when exposed to scents or perfumes. She required weekly chiropractic and massage appointments. She had tons of products, modalities, and methods for symptom management. It took years before Michal realized that this obviously meant she was still UNHEALTHY!
Healthy people don’t have to do all this to manage symptoms. Alongside a trusted mentor, and through her own journey from bedridden with autoimmune, genetic, and environmental illnesses to fully healthy (with no need for restrictive diets, supplements or ongoing therapies!), Michal developed a passion for teaching others to do the same.
With over 14 years of personal experience, Michal leads a team of functional medicine and holistic practitioners that believe in finding and addressing the root cause of the problem, rather than providing band-aid approaches and protocols. Using a breakthrough approach centered around nervous system regulation, Chronic Illness Solution specializes in helping those with autoimmune, genetic, and pain disorders.
Michal is now an international speaker and trains other practitioners in various healing modalities.

Living With PANDAS (nope...not that kind of Panda) S2E16
Stephanie Simoes is an entrepreneur, mom of five children & wife residing in Pennsylvania. Stephanie has been running her own businesses most of her working life, beginning with a traveling gymnastics program at just nineteen years old. Through the years she has developed a passion to give back more and more through her work. She really enjoys working with & contributing to nonprofit organizations, especially those supporting animals, special needs families, & veterans.
Stephanie is a Senior Director at ONEHOPE Wine. She specializes in fundraising, gifting, private wine events & wine delivery. She works with people & nonprofit organizations to raise donations and awareness for various causes throughout the year. Stephanie provides favors, logo bottles, personalized gift boxes, customized refills & sets up shipping across the United States. What she loves most is that a glass of wine gives back your charity of choice! Stephanie has used ONEHOPE Wine as platform to raise awareness & donations for PANDAS Network the last few years as the condition has directly impacted her children.
Stephanie & Zak Clayton conduct a monthly show highlighting smaller nonprofit organizations, in an effort to raise donations, but more importantly to get the word out to more people about their mission. The show is called Community Pay It Forward ONEHOPE Fundraiser (the link can be found in her linktree).
Stephanie runs family businesses with her husband, Paul. They are serving the local community through their contracting work, with a residential remodeling focus. They are also building cabins to curb the homelessness crisis in the veteran communities. Through Stephanie’s experience working in the nonprofit space, it has become clear that there is a need for veteran housing. Since learning this, they have shifted their focus to acquire & renovate homes to be rented to veterans through HUD VASH.
In addition, Stephanie & her husband have founded New Heights Homestead. Her family is relocating & building a mountaintop homestead from the ground up in West Virginia. Stephanie’s love for animals, and mission to provide the healthiest lifestyle for her children has driven this mission to find land for the last 13+ years. Due to a rarely diagnosed medical condition that has affected her children, her focus is a healthy environment, sunshine, animal therapy, and healthy foods. She plans to serve the community & nonprofits through the work they do on the homestead. If you are curious about topics like homesteading, off-grid living, animals, non-traditional home designs like container home builds, more natural living topics, & growing food you can subscribe to @newheightshomestead on YouTube to follow the progress!
Stephanie wears many entrepreneurial hats. She believes in being consistent in working towards your goals, but also finding a way to help others in the process.

Kicking Chronic Fatigue Syndrome to the Curb S2E25
Barbara has Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). Her health challenges really began when she was 12 years old and she was anemic. As she got older, got married, and had children, being tired just became a way of life and I didn’t know any different. On looking back, she truly believes that she had chronic fatigue syndrome. It was not something that was ever diagnosed because they didn’t know about that back then. However, Barbara was tired all the time and then in her 40s she was diagnosed with mononucleosis, which made her even more tired. She would push herself all week and get to the weekend and just collapse. She lived like that for years. Barbara’s children remember her being laid out on the couch, sleeping all day because she just couldn’t move. It was not a good time in her life.
Now, despite having CFS Barbara is on a mission to make Happiness the norm rather than the exception by inspiring the world to live happy, healthy, debt free abundant lives. She works mainly with Baby Boomers and is committed to working with those who are feeling lost, unfulfilled or are questioning their identity outside of their job title or job description. The goal is to discover purpose, passion and drive to take them into an active, healthy and abundant retirement.

Attitude is Everything: Life with Type 1 Diabetes S2E26
Joshua Tullis is 27 years old. He currently lives in Kennesaw, Georgia with his wife, Kayla, and his newborn son, Thompson. He and his wife love spending time with their son as he is progressing through noticeable newborn stages. Josh also spends time reading personal development books and running, specifically in races such as Tough Mudders and Spartan races. Every day he runs many miles around the neighborhood. He also thoroughly enjoys various approaches to weight training. In return, that usually increases appetite, therefore he loves trying new foods as well.
Josh was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was 12 years old. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that attacks the pancreas which secretes insulin. Therefore, those with type 1 diabetes must manually administer insulin daily. These insulin doses are dependent upon the amount of carbs consumed, but it’s not that simple. The types of food, lifestyle, physical activity, and many more everyday tasks largely impact the quality and control of life with diabetes.
This is why Josh is passionate about helping other diabetics take control of their life through everyday disciplines. Josh is now building Soaring Diabetics, a brand devoted to helping and coaching people through the challenges of diabetes.
